  • Our Key 103 experience

On behalf of the group, we have had a great experience with Key 103. We have learnt interesting things about the station and we have very much enjoyed using the recording machines to make fun and clever adverts to help with the success of our station. The people (Tom, Rick and Paul) were helpful and friendly and the making of our station was very fun and challenging.

On the 26th November the Key 103 bus came in to our school to audition us for jobs for making a school radio. There were 12 jobs up for grabs, 3 presenters, 3 news reporters, 3 marketing directors and 3 creative directors. The judges found it hard to pick the right people for the job, but in the end they were happy.

The 3 presenters were Harrison Kilburn, David Sheard and Francesca Sivori, their jobs over the 2 days of experience was to create an interesting, humorous but mature script for the radio station. The 3 news reporters were Tom Hurleston, Belle Walsh and Leah Brindley, their jobs were to create a fascinating news report on topics in the news and what’s happening at St James’. The 3 marketing directors were James Hurleston, Alex Gorton and Liam Crompton, their jobs were to overlook the whole operation and to make sure everyone does their job correctly and to decide on the radio’s name and slogan. The 3 creative directors were Ellie Lavelle, Eleanor Henderson and Faith Parker who created adverts that were light hearted, funny and have a purpose.

This was a once in a lifetime experience which we’d all love to do again.

    Let the good times roll!
